Solencol, a cooperative bringing together various companies within the same geographical area, has completed the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant. This development forms part of the future Irrigation and Water Efficiency Technology Park, which is currently under development and is being promoted by CAUDAL.
With this initiative, Solencol reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, a fundamental principle of the park, which aims to be fully sustainable and energy-efficient. The solar installation comprises 3.002 photovoltaic modules spread over an area of 8.392 square metres. This plant has a generation capacity of 1.7 MWp, producing 2.770,254 kWh of clean energy annually.
The project has been partly funded through the second call for proposals under the CE IMPLEMENTA Programme, which supports unique pilot projects for energy communities. As part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, Solencol has received a grant of 656,830.73 euros towards a total investment of over 1.322,123.04 euros. This financial support has been crucial to the successful completion of the project.
